The Twelve Week “Limitation” on Chiropractic Care.

Chiropractic care is not limited to twelve weeks. No matter how many times you are told by a claims adjuster that it is, do not believe it.

The treatment parameters presumptively allow up to twelve weeks of regularly scheduled chiropractic treatment, followed by up to twelve additional PRN treatments over the next twelve calendar months to maintain the functional status achieved in the first twelve weeks of regularly scheduled care, plus ongoing care so long as it is effective at maintaining employability or functional status.

Regularly scheduled care may continue beyond twelve weeks. More than twelve PRN visits may be provided. Regularly scheduled care may be reinitiated after the patient is released to PRN status. Chiropractic treatment can be provided for years after the date of injury if such care is reasonably required.
